Respond
The eternal kingdom that was prophesied in Daniel is the same one Jesus called His disciples to and still calls us to today. He was given all authority and power, and in His final moments on earth, Jesus reminded His followers of it. They were to take His power and presence with them throughout the nations, baptizing and teaching new disciples to obey His commands.

In the same way, we receive the kingdom of God as heirs so we can advance the kingdom. Every day we have opportunities to carry the power and presence of Jesus with us wherever we go. We’re not called to sit comfortably in our secure future; we’re called to go out and make more disciples.

Do you view yourself as an heir of God’s kingdom who’s called to make disciples? Where is He calling you to bring His presence and power in order to share His kingdom with others? Spend some time in prayer now, asking Him to reveal opportunities to advance His kingdom in your corner of the world today.
