Encourage and build up.

Series: Hold On To Hope | Week 1: Hold On To Hope

1 Thessalonians 5:11
“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”

Tough times have a way of bringing people together like never before. Paul encouraged this church in Thessalonica to look around them, to see who they could encourage, comfort, and build up. We need to do the same. As a church, we are all members of a body and we need to lean on each other.

Respond in Prayer
• Ask God to show you who you can encourage today. Who can you reach out to and thank for the role they’ve played in your life? How can you use your gifts or your resources to help someone who’s been negatively impacted by the pandemic? Spend a few minutes now listening to God… who is He laying on your heart?

For Families with Kids at Home
• Ask your kids who they’re thankful for, and who they can reach out to (digitally) to encourage and/or thank. If your kids are in school, encourage them to send their teachers a thank you note in some form (you may have to help them with this!) for all they’re doing during this time.
