At just the right time.

Series: Atomic Habits | Week 1: Nailing Jell-O to a Tree

Read Galatians 6:8-9

“Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

Discover
1. Compare the two types of harvests in these verses.
2. What is the promise for those who don’t give up?
3. When does God say that blessing will happen?

Respond
God knew we would grow weary and tired as we, daily, live for Him. The enemy loves to discourage and deceive us. And so, God gave us two things to sustain us on the journey: 1. The Holy Spirit to live in us, giving us the power we need so that we don’t have to rely upon our own strength to change, and 2. The promise that, one day, we will reap a harvest of blessing. When you’re tempted to give up because you aren’t seeing results fast enough, pray for God’s strength, patience and perspective that is readily available.
