Jesus is the perfect expression of the Fruit of the Spirit, including self-control. In Matthew 4, He was tempted by three of the greatest lures that can lead someone to lose control of their life: instant gratification, identity, and power. Each time, He used the Word of God and showed us that self-control happens when we exchange our personal priorities for the provision, purpose, and power of God.
