Respond
What happens when a long-awaited promise comes true? Our response says everything about us and our faith in the God we serve. After a longer wait than Abraham and Sarah could have imagined, God kept His word. In the most unlikely of circumstances, they became parents long past their child-bearing years.

How did they respond? Abraham responded with obedience, naming their son and circumcising him as God instructed. Sarah responded by giving praise and glory to God. Obedience and praise. Two God-honoring responses when He provides for our needs and our wants.

Where have you seen God fulfill His promises in your life? Where has He provided for a need or a want? Like Abraham and Sarah, have you responded in obedience and praise? Spend a few minutes quietly reflecting on how God has worked in your life. Write down any answers to prayer or blessings you’ve experienced. Praise Him for being faithful, and commit to responding in obedience where He asks you to.
