Kingdom values.

Series: We Are TPCC | Week 3: Healthy

Matthew 6:10
“May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”

Jesus next teaches us to reorder our desires from thinking about ourselves to thinking about His Kingdom. Our perspective shifts as we pray these words. We learn to seek God’s glory and ask for His name to be the highest honor. We long for His will to be done more than our own.

Respond in Prayer
Spend some time with God right now praying these very words. Meditate on each one as you do. Pray that He would bring the reconciliation our world needs – both to Him and to each other. Pray that your heart would begin to shift so that your desires become God’s desires. Ask yourself this week: what would Jesus do if He were in my situation? What would He be concerned about? What would His perspective be?

For Families with Kids at Home
Today, talk to your kids about what it means to be focused on God’s kingdom. It could mean that it changes your daily routine, how you spend your money, or how you treat others. Pray for your family to seek God’s kingdom first together and for strength to keep that focus.
