Our culture has largely disconnected what we do with our bodies from our souls. Our culture believes that sex is purely the satisfaction of a physical desire/right and not connected in any way to the spiritual.
God designed sex, and he knows how it works best. He designed it as a gift for our joy and pleasure that is not selfish but selfless, for procreation and to illustrate who God is as well as the covenantal love he has for his people.
Take any society going back to Rome that disregards God’s loving direction on sex opens itself up to all sorts of sexual misconduct: abuse, rape, incest, confusion, emptiness, and unfulfilled expectations.
Today, be assured that God knows what he’s doing when it comes to sex. Trust him today with his perfect design.
