2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
God doesn’t just care that we give, He actually cares about the heart behind our giving. He wants us to be generous—to give cheerfully. Why? Because our generosity is a response to His grace in our lives. Your generosity is a reflection of your heart.
In your group this week, talk about the heart behind your giving. Are you giving cheerfully or reluctantly? If you’ve experienced God’s grace in your life—in any way—how can you connect that to your attitude toward giving?
