Discover
1. List all the words used to describe our condition without Christ.
2. Is anyone excluded from this sin predicament (see verses 2 and 3)?
3. What did God do to save us from our predicament and why?

1. There is a gap between every one of us and God. But God, by grace alone, closed the gap by sending Jesus. Do you see yourself in these verses? Spend time thanking God now for the work only He could do in saving you from your sin predicament.
2. Repentance is what triggers this grace that saves each of us. Repentance tells God, “I’m not hiding or making excuses anymore. I’m turning from the way I’m going. Today, spend time praying for your kids by name, that they would come to know Jesus and trust Him with their lives. Pray that when they mess up, they would know you are a safe place to come to, and that God loves them so much, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead, and that it is only by God’s grace that we have been saved.
