Traders Point Kids Team
As a church, we want to help kids experience Jesus on their level in the language and ways they understand. With your help, kids can grow in faith and get to know, trust, and follow Christ into adulthood.
Ministry Roles and Descriptions
Elementary: In elementary, we creatively navigate kids in grades 1-6 through the entire Bible and look at how Jesus is the hero in every story. Elementary small group leaders intentionally play with kids, model worship, and facilitate small group activities and discussions. Large group leaders, worship leaders, and production team members facilitate the large group worship experience.
Nursery: The Nursery Team members work toward loving and caring for each baby by meeting their individual needs and offering an interactive and fun classroom. Team members also take time to intentionally pray over each baby.
Preschool: Through a large group experience called Wiggle Worship, interactive learning centers, prayer, and free play, team members help preschoolers experience Jesus. Small group leaders intentionally play with kids, lead activities, and pray over each child. Large group leaders, worship leaders, and production team members facilitate the Wiggle Worship experience.
Special Needs: Those who serve in our special needs ministry desire for every child with any kind of special need to experience God’s love. We offer customized programming for kids based on their development. Individuals can serve children in the special needs room or serve as a classroom buddy to those needing one-on-one attention.
Toddlers: Through free play, interactive Bible teaching, worship, and activities, toddlers begin learning about Jesus and are introduced to God’s Word. Classroom team members have the opportunity to intentionally play with kids, lead activities, and pray over each child. Large group leaders facilitate the teaching and song time.
Weekday Team Members: Weekday team members help to prepare Traders Point Kids environments for ministry effectiveness. This can include prepping large and small group materials, setting up and tearing down classrooms, and helping with administrative tasks.
