Movies tell a story that resonates. Whether they’re deemed classics or flops, they tug at our emotions and move us to response. They inspire us in ways that cognitive knowledge often falls short.

Why movies in church? Because Jesus often taught in story through parables. While on earth, He told over 30 stories that conveyed deep truth about the nature of God and the gospel message. He did this because something blocked people’s ability to understand. It was an unnecessary barrier.

This series is an opportunity to hear God speak through the arts and to have spiritual conversations about what we see. From the racetrack to department stores to homes decked out for the holidays, we’ll spend these five weeks traveling through story – laughing, learning, and seeing glimpses of Jesus together.
