Respond
Right before making one of the biggest decisions in His ministry, Jesus didn’t consult with experts or draw up a strategic game plan. He prayed in silence. The men He would choose as His closest followers would ultimately become the founders of the Christian church. It wasn’t a decision to take lightly. It was a decision to cover in prayer.

Whenever we face an important decision, we too can find peace in God’s presence. Time alone with Him brings guidance, clarity, and the assurance that whatever comes next, God will be by our side.

Are you facing a decision that has weighty consequences? Whether a big decision looms in your life or not, do you regularly spend time in God’s presence, surrendering all of your decisions to Him, big and small? Take a few minutes to do that now. Ask Him for wisdom in your decisions, and thank Him for modeling how to approach them with peace.
