Respond
“My time has not yet come.” Jesus’ words are the epitome of patience stemming from trust in God. While Jesus’ brothers wanted Him to become famous, He wanted to wait for His Father’s timing. His brothers were concerned with the immediate. He was concerned with the eternal. His patience stemmed from knowing that every season has a purpose and God’s ways are best.

We too can have the same kind of patience, to endure through times of waiting and be content in all circumstances. Seasons of waiting and hardship produce something within us. We can be patient because we know God is working and He’s with us.

Is there a circumstance where you’re struggling to be patient? Where do you need to trust God’s plans and timing? Surrender it to Him now, and thank Him for being present as you wait. Ask Him for perspective to see how He’s working and for endurance to stay committed to Him no matter what.
