Series: Rally Cry | Week 3: Never Stand Alone!

Day Three Acts 2:42

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.”

Discover
1. What does the word “devoted” mean to you in this context?
2. What four specific things does this early church devote themselves to?
3. How many of the believers were devoted?

Respond
Merriam-Webster defines devoted as “having strong love or loyalty for something or someone.” Based upon that definition, what are you devoted to? How devoted are you to the things the early church was devoted to – teachings from God and His Word, fellowship with other believers, sharing in remembering the work of Jesus on the cross, and prayer? Spend some time now asking God which one in particular you may need His help being more devoted to and what action steps you need to take to get there.
