A treasure in heaven.

Series: modgniK | Week 1: More is Less

Luke 12:29-34
And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

All humans have the same needs and we spend a lot of time worrying about them and pursuing them. God knows what you need and will provide it to you. While we spend a lot of our time pursuing these temporary fixes or successes in our life, we miss out on the opportunity to pursue God’s kingdom—which is an eternity. This eternity is a treasure that will not fade away and cannot be stolen.

Are you fixating on life as you glance at God? Or are you glancing at life as you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus? Today, ask yourself what you spend your time pursuing. Pray to God to change the focus of your heart to His kingdom. He will hear you and provide what you need.
