FAQ

Check out the FAQ below and if you still have questions, contact our youth team at [email protected].

Because Middle School Camp begins on a Sunday, we’re still finalizing check-in details. Registered families will receive exact times and instructions via email closer to camp, and this page will be updated once everything is confirmed.

Mid-morning. We will also text an ETA when we depart from Country Lake so that you can plan accordingly.

We want camp to be a place where students build real friendships, grow in faith, and fully experience God’s presence—without digital distractions. Research shows that taking a break from constant screen time can reduce anxiety, increase joy, and deepen relationships. That’s why we are asking students to leave their phones at home! But don’t worry! We know, as parents, you want to make sure your student is safe and has a way to contact you if necessary.

Here are a few ways to stay connected during the week of camp:

1. Sign-up to receive text communication. We will use text communication exclusively for transportation updates. We’ll let you know when buses have safely arrived at the camp location on the first day of camp. Additionally, we’ll use text communication to let you know when buses depart the camp on the last day and to provide an ETA so you can plan to pick up your student accordingly. To sign up to receive texts, you need to text “YES” to 317-768-0777 or update your communication preferences in the Traders Point app.

2. Watch for daily recap emails. Each day of camp we will send a summary of the students’ day, how you can be praying for them, and a link to photos so you can catch up on all their fun!

3. Call the direct camp contact number. We know sometimes things happen back home and you need to get a hold of a staff member and your kiddo. You can call 317-765-1971 to talk directly to a Youth Team staff member.

4. Please encourage your student to communicate with their group leader. Your student’s group leader is there to guide and facilitate their camp experience, but they are also your student’s primary resource should they have a need. Leaders will always have their personal cell phones with them as a direct line of communication with staff. Forget a pillow? We got you. Tell your group leader! Not feeling well? Tell your group leader! We have medical volunteers on-site to help. As you prep your student for camp, remind them what a resource their group leader is and give them examples of how they can advocate for themselves. We want to provide the best camp experience possible!

We don’t want finances to be a barrier for anyone who wants to come to Middle School Camp. Scholarships are available based on need and availability. To apply, please fill out this form

You can include all food allergies and dietary restrictions on the camper registration form. Accommodations for food allergies will be made during all mealtimes.

During the week, campers will be in groups where they can hang out and talk about what they’re learning. Groups have anywhere from six to twelve students and are led by leaders who have gone through Traders Point Youth’s onboarding process, which includes a background check, staff interview, orientation, and training. There will be approximately one adult for every four students on the trip.

Country Lake Christian Retreat is in Underwood, Indiana. Rooms at Country Lake are dorm-style, with a shared bathroom in each dorm. The dorms are air-conditioned and house 34 people. Groups are housed together.

We want every student to be able to attend camp and understand that late arrivals and early pickups might be necessary. Due to the number of participants, late arrivals are only allowed through 9 pm on June 2, and early departures are permitted from 7:30 am to 9:30 am on June 5.

We will take charter buses (with bathrooms) to and from Middle School Camp.

All allergies and medical conditions should be submitted during camper registration. Accommodations for food allergies will be made during all mealtimes.

Medical volunteers will be on-site to administer any medication. Please note that all medications are collected at camp drop-off. Our Safety Team will take care of receiving them and administering them throughout camp. No over-the-counter medications should be in campers' luggage, and medications should be brought in their original container.

Let's talk! If you'd like to learn more about serving at Middle School Camp, just fill out this form and a member of the youth team will be in touch with next steps.
