Additional
Gathering Times

Over the past year, we've been celebrating incredible growth—and feeling the stretch—with packed gatherings, crowded parking lots, and overflowing Traders Point Kids spaces, especially at our Northwest, Carmel, Plainfield, and Fishers locations.

We never want to be the church that has to hang a "No Vacancy" sign. So to make room for who God is bringing now—and who He's bringing next—we're adding additional gathering times starting Saturday, August 2.

ADDITIONAL GATHERING TIMES

Northwest | Saturday, 4 PM

Carmel | Saturday, 4 & 5:30 PM (Note: These replace Carmel’s Sunday 5 PM gathering.)

Plainfield & Fishers | Sunday, 8 AM

JOIN THE LAUNCH TEAM

We’re looking for a core group of committed men, women, and families to help launch these new gathering times strong. If you’re ready to say "yes" to making a difference, we'd love for you to be part of the Launch Team!

Helping Parents Love

Helping Parents Love is a faith-based support initiative for Christian parents with LGBTQ children.

Throughout the year, Traders Point NextGen provides opportunities for parents of LGBTQ kids of all ages to come together in a safe, confidential environment to learn how to love their kids like Jesus, embodying grace and truth. During this 10-week faith-based cohort, parents watch and discuss the Parenting LGBTQ Kids video curriculum provided by The Center for Faith, Sexuality, and Gender.

Each cohort is led by a parent or set of parents of LGBTQ kids. They will facilitate the group and guide you through the curriculum. These facilitators will foster a safe and confidential space where participants can share vulnerably without fear of judgment. Any parent(s) of LGBTQ kids, youth, or adult children can attend, whether or not they attend Traders Point Christian Church.

Cohorts are offered at Traders Point Northwest and Carmel. Generally, in-person meetings are held in the fall and spring, while online cohorts are hosted throughout the year. We have a limited number of spots available. If you try to register and the spots are filled, you’ll be notified and placed on a waitlist.

FAQ

Our Statement of Faith and Statement of Marriage, Sexuality & Gender are available  here.

You must be the parent, grandparent, legal guardian or primary caregiver of an LGBTQ child to join a group.

Helping Parents Love is a curriculum-based support group, not a therapy group. Our peer facilitators are not licensed counselors or trained experts; they are seasoned parents with a loved one who identifies as LGBTQ or who experiences same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria. The purpose of our groups is not for any of us to share expert advice but for each participant to share our own family’s experience.

Yes, confidentiality is essential to these groups. Maintaining strict confidence—including promising not to repeat anything about who takes part or what is said in groups—is crucial to protecting ourselves and our loved ones.

Yes, we have a high percentage of parents whose LGTBQ children are adults. The group is a good fit for parents with children of all age ranges.

"Prior to reading Preston Sprinkle’s book, and finding the LGBTQ Parent cohort at Traders Point, my husband and I felt isolated.

As Preston says in one parent video, ‘when a kid comes out of the closet, the parents go in. ’ We have always treasured Bible-based teaching at Traders Point. Having gone through the fall 2022 parent cohort together and my wife participating in the spring 2023 parent cohort to walk alongside other parents, we have met fellow Christian parents of LGBTQ+ children of all ages who can relate to our questions while still grounding us in the teaching of the Bible. Preston Sprinkle outlines biblical teaching while reminding us of God’s love for everyone. Through hearing parent testimonials, we heard how adult children remained in or came back to their faith in God."
