Psalm 62:1-2
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.
What’s your rock? What are you building your life on? It could be the thing that makes you overwhelmed. You might see it as bringing you peace, but it's got you in a cycle that's wearing you down, maybe leading you to drugs, drinking, hurting yourself, isolation, or that screen you shouldn't be looking at.
Jesus is your salvation—He has done everything to cover you from the penalty of your sins, and He is good enough and powerful enough that He's got you, no matter what. When you accept His free gift of salvation, your salvation is secure. But, Jesus also wants to be your rock, the thing you build your life on.
Today know that His promises, and His faithfulness rule supreme. Jesus is like solid rock, and you can completely build your life on Him—and you will never be shaken.
