Respond
All week long, we’ve learned what it means to put money in its place. Today we see what happens when we’re generous. God provides all we need and “plenty left over to share with others.” When it comes to amounts and quantity, God is more interested in our availability, not our ability. It’s not about the amount we give; it’s about our hearts.

We can’t be fully surrendered to God if our hands are clutching our treasures. He has generously given to us so that we can give to others. What’s the result of this generosity? Others will see God for who He is and thank Him. That’s what He wants to do in and through us as we give from generous and cheerful hearts.

When it comes to generosity, are you willing to give freely, or do you tend to clutch your treasures? How do you need God to shape your heart into one that’s cheerfully generous? Confess any struggles or idols to Him now. Ask Him to open your eyes and heart to ways you can be generous and further His Kingdom.
