Day Five Romans 6:20-23
Pray: Invite God into your time and ask Him to speak to you, then read the passage.
20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. 21 And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. 22 But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 6:20-23 (NLT)

For Families with Kids at Home:
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, it broke our relationship with God. Even though God loved us and wanted us to have a relationship with Him, we weren’t able to because of our sin – our bad choices. But when Jesus obeyed God and give His life on the cross, he paid for our sin and made a way to be friends with God again! So a friendship with God isn’t something we can earn or work for. It’s something that we can only accept as a gift from Jesus. Pray with your kids and thank Jesus for His gift to us – a friendship with a God who loves us!
