Holy Spirit help.

Series: What Now? | Week 1: What Now?

Acts 10:34-36
“Then Peter replied, 'I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation He accepts those who fear Him and do what is right. This is the message of Good News for the people of Israel—that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.’”

Acts 10 is a beautiful story of reconciliation of two people groups through a relationship. God teaches Peter, a Jew, that He is the God of All People, not just the Jewish people. God guides Peter step-by-step into relationship with Cornelius, a Roman Gentile. The entire book of Acts tells a story of the Holy Spirit uniting what sin had divided.

Respond in Prayer
If the hostility and division in our country over racism and injustice seems overwhelming to you, take heart. Tell God now that you don’t know where to begin and ask for His help to start somewhere. What our world needs most now is Jesus, who gave up the privilege of heaven to take on human form to come to earth and become obedient to the point of death on a cross. And because of that obedience, He’s given you power through His Spirit to take the next step. For further reading, see this article on our nation’s need for the Holy Spirit.
