God is working in your waiting.

Series: Anxious Christmas | Week 1: In the Waiting Room

Read Luke 2:1-7

Discover
1. What evidence exists in these verses to show Luke isn’t just telling a story, he’s recording history?
2. How does God use an unbelieving ruler to fulfill Micah 5:2?
3. What is the significance of listing Joseph’s ancestry (see these verses)?

Respond
Nearly 700 years passed from the time of the prophets Isaiah and Micah to the birth of Jesus. And when Jesus finally arrived it was in the most humble of ways. Take a few minutes now to think about how you deal with waiting and unmet expectations. Ask God for His perspective in an area of your life where you may be experiencing one or both of these things. Ask Him to open your heart to the changes He wants to make in you through this process.
