Friends of God

Series: Recalibrate | Week 5: Reverse the Curse

Day Three Romans 5:9-11

Pray: Invite God into your time and ask Him to speak to you, then read the passage.

9 And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. 10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. 11 So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God. – Romans 5:9-11 (NLT)

For Families with Kids at Home:
Ask your kids: if you could be friends with any famous person, who would it be? Their favorite athlete? Or cartoon character? Or YouTuber?

We might never get the chance to be friends with someone famous, but we know that the most important person ever wants to be our friend: God! A friendship with God is the best thing we could ever have. God not only knows us—but He wants nothing more than to be friends! And because of Jesus' sacrifice, we’re now able to be friends with God.

Take time today to pray with your kids to thank God for being our friend and to thank Jesus for making a way for that to happen!
