Wheeler Mission Ministries helps the homeless in Indiana. Founded in 1893, Wheeler is a non-denominational, Christian, social services organization, which provides critically needed goods and services to the homeless, poor, and needy of central Indiana.

Wheeler Mission relies on a variety of donations to best serve our homeless neighbors. In 2015, Wheeler Mission provided over 133,000 nights of shelter to more than 6,300 individuals. Your donations help continue these much needed services to men, women, and children in our city.

Step 1: As a group, spend time learning about Wheeler Mission and those they serve. Their website, wheelermission.org, is a good starting place.

Step 2: Review Wheeler's needs list by copying and pasting the link in your web browser. We'd also encourage you to check in with Tammy Caldwell (tammycaldwell@wheelermission.org) to see what their most urgent needs are. Discuss as a group how you will collect and/or purchase the item(s). You can also spread the word by inviting neighbors, co-workers, and friends to donate items as well! https://wheelermission.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/WM-Needs-List-Collection-Drive-Handout-2021.pdf

Step 3: Set a date to gather your donations. While you are together, spend time praying for the men, women, and children who may be impacted by your generosity. You can also write notes of encouragement to include as we all know how much a well-timed word can mean.

Step 4: Donations can be delivered any day between 7AM-9PM at our Men’s Residential Center: 2728 S. Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225.
