The ultimate answer to shame.

Series: Summer in the Psalms | Week 1: Walk of Shame

Psalm 25:20-22 NIV
Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you. Deliver Israel, O God, from all their troubles!

David remembers that God is for him, that God loves him, that God never left him. As he begins to talk with God, he's reminded of how good and powerful God is. Not only does David boldly ask God to wipe David's slate clean, he asks God to deliver all of Israel too.

Jesus was the ultimate answer to David's prayer, and He is the ultimate answer to your prayer today. Jesus, who had no shame to fight, would fight your shame for you. Jesus took on the full weight of your shame and nailed it to a cross.

Where shame says you are flawed and unworthy, Jesus says you are worthy, and you belong. Thank Jesus today for winning the battle against shame!
