Discover
1. What words does the author, Luke, use to describe the difficulty of the journey to Rome?

Respond
Paul spoke up in the middle of a situation he didn’t see going well. But despite his advice, the sailors still chose a different path. Sometimes our attempts to encourage or give good advice seemingly fail. Pray today about how God may be asking you to speak up or encourage someone. They may not hear it, but you’ll still know you did what God asked you to do. Start from a posture of being in the same boat with them.
