Proverbs 4:23
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
Whatever is in our hearts – our affections, desires, motives – determines the person we become! True change happens in us from the inside out. These verses show us God places the utmost importance on our hearts. He wants us to protect them and guard them for His purposes.
