God-given gifts.

Series: Resilient | Week 3: Letting Go of What's Holding On To You

Genesis 39:21-23
“But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him His faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden. Before long, the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison. The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed.”

Through slavery and through prison, God was always with Joseph, making him a favorite with everyone he encountered and causing everything he did to succeed. Joseph clearly had many God-given leadership gifts. He continued to step into his calling despite disappointments and ever-changing circumstances.

For Families with Kids at Home
What gifts has God given your kids? Wisdom? Leadership? Creativity? Mercy? Spend some time today naming and listing out the gifts you can see that God has given your kid(s). Then, share your list with him/her—spend time intentionally telling your kids, “God has given you the gift of _______, and I see it when you ______. I love that God has made you this way!”
