Everlasting life.

Series: Summer in the Psalms | Week 2: Fully Known and Fully Loved

Psalm 139:24
Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

We shouldn't be afraid to ask God to search our hearts, test us, and know our anxious thoughts. He helps us with our anxieties! This is not a blind faith, but an invitation to rest in what Jesus has done for us: Jesus took our shame and nailed it to a cross. There is nothing better than being fully known and fully loved. This is the peace God offers us!

Once we know this, we can continue the prayer of Psalm 139: “Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”

The goal of the cross wasn't just to get you into heaven, but to get the heart and character of Jesus into you! It is a life-long process of becoming more like Jesus. Rest today in the truth that God completely knows and loves you. Continue to ask Him to search you, know your thoughts, and point out anything in your life that offends Him so you can become more like Jesus. Let Him lead you along the path of everlasting life!
