On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus acts out a lesson in servitude. He shows us the spirit He expects in those who follow Him: He puts others first. When we find our identity in Jesus— when we know we are His children and part of His family—we can serve others in any capacity. Greatness in Christ’s eyes does not come from having many servants but from being the servant of many. He gives us His spirit to be able to go, serve and love!
