Our culture is obsessed with happiness, but happiness and joy are not the same. Where happiness is a feeling, joy is an attitude based on the God we serve. God wants us to experience something eternal, not temporary. Eternal joy anchors us in the fact that God is with us no matter what, because His presence never changes.
