Join us for a private screening of Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot. Inspired by a powerful true story, this movie beautifully reflects the themes of hope, family, and sacrifice, resonating deeply with Dr. King's call for communities to stand together in the pursuit of justice and compassion. Donna and Reverend Martin ignite a fire in the hearts of their rural church to embrace kids in the foster system that nobody else would take. By doing the impossible–adopting 77 children–this East Texas community proved that, with real, determined love, the battle for America’s most vulnerable can be won.

The movie is 2 hours and 15 minutes long and is rated PG-13. No childcare will be provided, and popcorn, soda and candy will be available. Doors open at 6 PM.

Dr. King once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” This is an opportunity to come together, be inspired, and learn about ways to serve vulnerable children in our city.
