Ascent 121 is one of TPCC's strategic local partners. They provide trauma recovery services for teen survivors of trafficking in Indianapolis. The Ascent 121 Prayer Journey is an opportunity for you to drive through the near east side of Indianapolis and pray for areas affected by trafficking and exploitation. Through this experience you will learn more about the child welfare system, the juvenile justice system, different ways that teens are drawn into trafficking and recovery services that are available to survivors. Guided prayer stops allow you to pray for survivors, teens at risk, educators, social service providers, juvenile justice staff, law enforcement, ministries and organizations.
Your journey begins in the parking lot at the Indiana Department of Child Services and concludes at the Ascent 121 offices for a debrief with an agency representative to process your experience.
The Prayer Journey is intended for small and large groups. They have found the Prayer Journey to be a powerful experience when everyone gets to participate – which is most practical in groups of 2-6 in a vehicle. A huge group traveling together makes it challenging for everyone to participate. If you have a larger group, consider splitting up into multiple vehicles.
This opportunity takes approximately 2+ hours depending on how long you spend at each stop. Please register your group here AND then each member of your group must register with Ascent 121 here.
