PART OF THE HEARTBEAT OF OUR CHURCH IS TO CARE FOR VULNERABLE CHILDREN ALL AROUND THE WORLD. WE’RE COMMITTED TO PREVENTING CHILDREN FROM BECOMING VULNERABLE AND INTERVENING IN SITUATIONS WHERE CHILDREN ARE VULNERABLE.

A vulnerable child is one that lacks physical, emotional, healthcare, and educational needs. On the global scale, many of these children live in unsafe areas with lack of access to clean water, sufficient food, and proper hygiene care.

You can make a difference globally in the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya and Peru through two of our outreach partners, Missions of Hope International and Compassion International.

MISSIONS OF HOPE INTERNATIONAL (MOHI)

MOHI’s holistic approach starts with children. Helping a child creates an entry — an open door into the family unit and community. When a child is enrolled in a MOHI school, they are connected to a social worker who can discern the needs of the family unit and connect them to programs such as microfinance, skills training, spiritual development, support groups, discipleship through a church, and so much more. MOHI provides a quality Christian education to more than 23,000 children, from nursery through high school, in 32 disadvantaged communities throughout Kenya.

Children living in the slums often feel forgotten, but a seed of hope is planted when they are sponsored. Being chosen, encouraged through letters, and loved by a sponsor opens their heart to know that they are truly loved by God and not forgotten. In 2018, Traders Point partnered with Compassion to plant four churches in areas of extreme poverty in Peru. More than 900 children are now participating in Compassion’s child development program at these churches.
