As Wendy and her husband, David, were discussing and praying about their Awaken commitment, Wendy had a number in her head. When they came together to discuss it, her husband's number was a bit bigger than hers. Wendy followed David's lead, knowing God was working on his heart. As a family, they committed a number that they both agreed was a little scary. They knew God was asking them to trust Him—to take a step of faith. Then David got an unexpected promotion and raise at work.
As David and Wendy live out this Awaken commitment, they say, “No matter what, God is taking care of us. He can do so much more with 90% (or less!) than we could ever do with 100%."
When it comes to tithing, Wendy says, “Test him. Life with God gets sweeter and sweeter."
