MIX 2022


Are you ready for the best week ever? In June 2022, Traders Point Youth is taking current 6th and 7th grade students (2021-2022 school year) to Country Lake Christian Retreat in Underwood, Indiana. We’re so excited for this chance to learn more about Jesus, hang out together, and have tons of fun! You don’t want to miss it.

This includes transportation to and from Country Lake Retreat, meals and housing for five days and four nights, programming by our friends at Christ in Youth, and a ton of fun activities including swimming and hiking.

Here’s a breakdown of when payments are due:

First Deposit: $100
Non-refundable deposit due at registration.

Second Deposit: $100
Non-refundable deposit due by Monday, February 28, 2022.

Remaining Balance: $190
Balances are non-refundable and due Sunday, May 15, 2022.

We don’t want finances to be a barrier for anyone who wants to come on the trip. Check out this list of ideas for some creative ways to help pay for your trip!

During the week, everyone will be in a group where they can hang out and talk about what they’re learning. Groups have anywhere from six to twelve students and are led by leaders who have gone through Traders Point Youth’s onboarding process which includes a background check, staff interview, orientation, and training. There will be a minimum of one adult for every four students on the trip. If you’d like to learn more about leading at MIX, connect with the youth minister at your campus by filling out this form and selecting the topic “Youth.”

Rooms at Country Lake are dorm style with a shared bathroom in each dorm. The dorms will have a minimum of eight people per dorm, with up to 34 people per dorm. Dorms are air conditioned.

There is a space to list friend and leader requests on the registration—this is the only place requests will be taken. We’ll do our very best to assure each student gets at least one of their requests. Due to the volume of participants, once assignments have been made there will be no changes.

We will take charter buses with bathrooms to and from MIX. Buses will depart from and return to Traders Point Christian Church Northwest.

• A bagged lunch to eat on the bus to Country Lake
• Bible, Notebook, and Pen/Pencil

• Clothing for four days, including:
    o A couple outfits that can get wet/dirty (just in case!)
    o Pajamas
    o A sweatshirt and jeans in case you get chilly
    o Appropriate swimwear/cover-up
    o Bring any and all things RED! Our team will be RED for MIX, so anything you     have to go all out, bring it! Bandanas, headbands, socks, bracelets, anything!
    o Shoes (comfortable shoes for walking, sandals, and shoes that can get wet     are recommended!)

• Bedding, including:
    o A pillow
    o Sheets for a twin-size/single bed
    o A blanket or sleeping bag (dorms can be chilly!)

• Towels for showering and swimming
• Toiletries (Shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)
• Bug spray and sunscreen
• Money for offering and the CIY store
• Games, activities, and/or athletic equipment for recreation time (optional)

Do Not Bring:
o Alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, etc.
o Weapons of any kind
o Refrigerators or air-conditioners

  1. Respect others and yourself.
  2. No guys in girls' dorms and vice versa.
  3. Skateboards, scooters and hoverboards are prohibited.
  4. Alcohol, tobacco, vaping, drugs, and weapons are absolutely prohibited.
  5. Everyone must be in their dorms by the designated “In Dorm Time.”
  6. For security reasons, no students with backpacks are allowed into the auditorium or cafeteria. Drawstring bags are acceptable.
  7. Follow the schedule. Be where you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be there.
  8. During sessions, stay in your assigned seating. Please follow the posted seating chart.
  9. Do not leave the auditorium once the speakers begin talking.
  10. Respect the camp – no TP, water balloons, shaving cream, sidewalk chalk, etc. No practical jokes or pranks of any kind!
  11. Do not move furniture as you will be charged for any assessed damage.
  12. Do not dial 911 unless it is a true emergency.
  13. Absolutely no fireworks at any time during MIX or while on camp property.
  14. No food deliveries of any kind to the camp.
  15. Students may leave campus ONLY with adult supervision; those staying behind must have an adult present.
  16. Follow the dress guidelines.
  17. While phones are allowed, they are not permitted to be used during group time, session, recreation, or meal times. We will also collect phones, turned off, at lights out every night.
