Print out the Hopscotch Cards
and tape to the ground in a pattern that’s best for your child OR create your own hopscotch outside using sidewalk chalk. Ask the questions provided (below) and discuss as your child hops along the hopscotch.SAY:
Jesus loves you and me so much! Let’s celebrate together by playing a game called hopscotch and talk about Jesus while we play!ASK:
Why did Jesus die for us? (Jesus died for us because He loves you and me so much!)ASK
: Were the people in our Bible story happy or sad to see Jesus? (Happy! They were happy because they knew Jesus loved them. We can be happy, too, because Jesus loves me and Jesus loves you!)ASK:
Does Jesus only love you if you always do the right thing, or does He love you even if you get in trouble or make a mistake? (Jesus loves you all of the time! When Jesus died on the cross, He took the punishment for all the wrong things we do. Then, He came back to life to show us how much He loves us!)SAY:
You did great! I am going to read a Bible verse that we get to keep in our hearts forever. Repeat after me (give 2-3 words at a time) “He is not here! He has risen, Just as He said He would!” Matthew 28:6. Yes, Jesus died for us, but the great news is, He did not stay dead. Jesus came back to life, just like He promised to do! Give yourself a big hug because Jesus loves you!PRAY:
Dear Jesus, thank you for loving us so much that you would choose to die for our sins! I pray that everyone in the whole world will hear about how much you love them too! In Jesus’ name, amen.
